A "shower" is a dick that "shows" its size when flaccid but doesn't get much bigger.

A "grower" is a dick that "grows" considerably larger than its flaccid size.

The terms are mutually exclusive, and are actually neutral regarding overall "bigness" (a dick that is 1" flaccid and 5" erect is definitely a "grower" but 5" is hardly anyone's idea of "big," and certainly not on this site)...
